UTS Case Study – Involvement & Collaboration with PolySpine
For the PolySpine team, inclusion on the ARTG was the final hurdle before starting manufacturing the PolySpine exoskeleton. Through an Innovation Connections Grant, the team was matched with UTS Rapido, an R&D engineering and technology consultancy at UTS. PolySpine decided on a rigorous testing process to measure the strength, durability and safety of both the injected-moulded material that forms the device’s spine and the chest harness and lap belt that secures it to the user.
Riley & Clint Introduce PolySpine to the Coastbeat Community
Riley and Clint recently introduced PolySpine to coastal communities in NSW in an interview with Coastbeat. The father-son duo were asked about how they work together, with Riley telling Coastbeat “We work well as a team and continually challenge each other with our new ideas and different views.” The pair also shared some exciting news about the progression of PolySpine, with in-house occupational therapists currently in the final stage of user trials.
